Jarhead: Slang for Marine.

4 stars

07 Dec 2017

Jarhead is a action and war film about a civilian heading into the United States Marines Corps and going through intense training in which he becomes a scout sniper. He is then put into the Afghanistan war where he is scarred for life and his only hope is going back home to his girlfriend.

The CGI of explosions, gunfire, ect, is incredible with no to minimal mistakes. The acting by the main actor who is the Jarhead, Jake Gyllenhaal, and the other cast, Chris Cooper, Jamie Foxx, Scott MacDonald and Peter Sarsgaard is amazing with genuine passion and a funny sense of unusual comedy.

It is also a shocking turn of events when he loses everything he loves, and finds all of his Marine buddies that are working in shops as shelf stackers, forklift drivers, builders, ect.

Overall i think this is a brilliant move and i will rate it a 4/5 since it is one of my favourite movies, but not the best i have ever seen.
