Best Wes Anderson film I have ever seen!

5 stars

11 May 2018

Isle of Dogs is the best animated film I have seen in 2018, no questions asked. Isle of Dogs is about Japan in the near future, which has severe dog flu problems. To solve this problem mayor Kobayashi exiles all dogs to 'Trash Island'. A group of tough canines venture through the island helping the mayor's nephew Atari find his lost dog Spots. Although some of the characters only speak in Japanese there is usually someone translating, but it does make you feel more immersed in the film. Also Isle of Dogs has an all-star cast including: Bill Murray, Ed Norton, Scarlet Johanson and more. This adds even more to the film hearing familiar faces voice completely new characters. The style of animation is amazing. It took approximately 3 years for them to make Isle of Dogs but all the work on getting the characters just right really paid off. This film was an amazing experience but I think less people went to see it because of the release of Ready Player One at the same time. I loved this film and that's why I'm giving it 5/5 stars.
