In this instalment, when the king falls deathly ill, Shrek realises he is the next in line. Not thinking he is fit to be a king, he goes on a mad search for the other heir to the throne, looking for Fiona’s cousin, a teenage boy named Artie. In the stress of searching, he loses sight of what is important in his life.
I love Shrek because it is a timeless classic and kids have loved him for many years, Shrek and Fiona also serve as great role models to young minds and help to get rid of stereotypes which are usually drilled into the heads of kids. The animation in this film is very good, still sticking to the classic style of Universal.
Furthermore, the voice acting in this was great, starring Mike Myers, Justin Timberlake, Cameron Diaz and many other famous faces (/voices?)
However, there were SO many sexual and drug based jokes which might prove inappropriate to younger audiences but will help keep you parents entertained
I would recommend this to all ages as younger kids will laugh but older people will not enjoy the humour as much as it is all quite childish.
