At the beginning of this film Sammy (the turtle) was scared, scared because he didn’t know if he would make it out the hole where he was born. This movie was filmed on an island. As well as him being in the sapphire, sparkling ocean. Sammy faced many dangers on his journey such as losing his friend Ray losing his other friend Shelley and then finding them both again.

Sammy was a very resilient turtle as he didn’t give up on finding any of his friends because he cared about them a lot. But he didn’t know what he would come across trying to find them, it was not as easy as he thought it would be and came across exciting objects such as: finding the ice sea, the oil spillage and getting caught. It was also amazing because no matter how different the turtles were he still was eager to be friends with them.

I think the message this story was trying to tell us was that all the rubbish that we throw into the ocean affects the underwater world even though you don’t realise that you are doing it you are affecting sea life every second. Especially when ships sail over the ocean the oil affects the fish and can die really easily. Also when you collect fish, making sure you don’t go over your limit of how many fish to catch or you could be catching something other than fish that need water and could die if you take them out.

I would recommend this film based on the resilience of Sammy and without him realising how resilient he really was.
