Up. This movie is an entire lifetime full of an adventure put into a fun and entertaining way. A man for his whole life as admired Charles Munts only to find out he is not all that he is said to be. However, before the journey starts it shows what lead up to that sad moment. It starts when a boy (Carl Fredricksen) meets a girl with the same spirit of adventure as he did. Then, they grow up together and eventually get married and sadly he will never be a father. This makes it worse when a tragedy happens and Carl is left alone old and sad. Until, one day a young boy appears at his front doorstep asking if he can assist him to get his finial badge. In the end, Mr Fredricksen is so fed up and comes up with an ingenious plan. To tie his house to a thousand or more balloons tp lift it into the sky and to fulfill his wife's dream. Little did he know he will soon be accompanied in a small amount of time by a group of his future friends.
What made this movie call out to me is its creativity and how some gifted person thought of an idea to have a million balloons attached to a house and let it float away.
My favourite character is Ellie (the girl Carl married). This is because she only had a few minutes on the big screen but in those few minutes you can get a good understanding of her sweet and caring personality. I like this about her because in movies it often takes you a while to figure out a characters true nature however, with Ellie this is different. Following, my favourite part was when Carl and Ellie meet and it shows how Ellie also has the same spirit of adventure that Carl did and I loved how vicious she used to be and how she used that in her confidence around Carl.
I would say that this is a movie for anyone since it has a lot of genres and if you don't like any of them the creators will find a way to make it special for everyone.
