I like Tim Burton's animation but I'm not a big fan of the story. The gothic characters look hideous, in a good sense. The gothic music really helps understand the moods. I actually overall like the movie as I like the idea of the living dead, who are living with the cause of their death attached to them e.g. stabbed by a sword, shot by a cannon ball, and the main character marrying a dead bride.
