Regarded as one of the finest films by suspense master Alfred Hitchcock, this classic chase movie sees a suave executive mistaken for a spy.

It was enjoyably confusing

North by northwest had an interesting and sometimes entertaining story. However, the film had many plot holes and often didn’t make sense, events that where unclear and unexplained. It did manage to create and maintain some level of suspense. The film was funny when it wanted to be, but unfortunately also at times when it didn’t. There were many scenes and plot points that where either completely ridiculous or didn’t make much sense. The film was visually well constructed with iconic scenes, for example the wide shot of the cornfield. The visuals of each scene where well thought out and complemented the story. The film had a good pace, which kept me engaged and that fit well with the premise of the story. Overall I think the film had a good story and was well filmed, its main draw backs being some slightly ridiculous plot points. However the large number of plot holes did manage to add to the films enjoyment.
