The first Hunger Games film is a gripping movie about a post war America and the innocent bystanders that live in 12 different districts, ruled by the high tech, fancy people of the Capitol. The cast includes film stars such as Woody Harrelson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz and the one and only Jennifer Lawrence. The plot is about Lawrence's character, Katniss Everdean and her struggle to escape the repetitive life she lives in. Yearly the Capitol punish the twelve districts for children aged 12 to 18 and make them fight to the death. After Katniss's sister (Prim) gets picked by Elizabeth Banks's character (Effie Trinket) to enter the hunger games, Katniss volunteers as tribute in her sisters place. The boy that gets chosen is the bakers son, Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson). After the tributes say their goodbyes to their families they set off for the Capitol for training before entering the arena. This amazing tale is a must see film with an all star cast. one of the best films of the twenty-first century so far.
