Steamboy, is a great Japanese anime that can make you feel that you’re inside the actual movie with all the loud sounds and the guns shooting that will give you the experience in war. Even though this is not set in the Great WW times, it is actually set in England, London, in the 1860’s. Ray – the main character – was a child inventor who finds himself in the middle of a deadly conflict over with his grandfather and father. Want to learn more about this movie? Well read more of this report and I’ll tell you all about this movie without spoiling it.

In this movie, there is this boy named Ray and after receiving a package, he had to quickly absquatulate from his home in Manchester from 2 mysterious characters that ran into his home and killed his mother, while trying to save her son from these people that are trying to grab the mcguffin of the story that Ray’s grandfather sent him. Ray did something unforgiveable to his sister, he did it for a good cause to escape with the mcguffin from the characters that made him absquatulate from his home. Escaping in a weird “vehicle”, Ray was chased by a hybrid-looking, mini train onto something that would scare you. If you love the author Peter Bunzl, his books Cogheart, Moonlocket and the highly new released Skycircus which came out on October 2018 you will surely love this movie. Looking throughout the film, I have figured out that one of the characters’ changed her attitude towards the end.

If you have read Cogheart, Moonlocket or Skycircus, at least one character changed their attitude and has seen the good side of mechs. I would recommend it.
