In 1860s Britain, a boy inventor finds himself in danger in the middle of London of a deadly conflict over a unusual, black steam ball. James Ray Steam – the boy inventor- had to absquatulate from his home to find Robert Stephenson in his train with his partner Freddie they made new mechanicals to use for wars. Ray’s grandfather (Doctor Lloyd Steam) told Ray his father died but he wasn’t. The movie Steamboy is an anime and romantic. Ray’s father- Doctor Eddie Steam- does not like to work with his father and is working with the evil. Scarlet at first wasn’t a very nice person because she was kicking a mechanical dog and asked everyone to say Miss Scarlet. This movie was set in 2004.
I like this movie because it has a lot of personality and actions in every characters voice. I enjoyed the book though at first I didn’t think it would be a good movie but I want to see a new movie based on Steamboy.
I don’t like it when Eddie Steam doesn’t help his father and leaves him to his self to do something more important. They were pulling up the steam castle.
This movie is also compared with the books: Cogheart; Moonlocket and Skycircus from the author Peter Bunzl. This movie is cleverly 2D & 3D.
