This film is gripping and enticing which carries an extraordinary abundance of emotions as it presents the life of Proffesor Stephen Hawkins. Not only does it portray the ups and downs of his professional life it showcases his family life and the effects his motor- neurone disease impacts them.
The film begins with Stephen Hawkins finding-who unknown to him - will become his future wife and the woman who will carry his babies. It then shows how his disease ,as tragic as it is, will not set him back from doing what he loves and shows that you can come back from anything. This message is carried and shown throughout the whole film.
The directors clearly sprinkle comedy throughout to show that there is some light in the situation and that humour is a big part of most people's life. The camera angles also add effect and shadowing creates tense moments or adds sadness and different emotions when needed.
Altogether, I enjoyed it even though I personally wouldn't pick it to watch. Anyone interested in Stephen Hawkins life in further detail will enjoy this and find it very engrossing.
