The movie is actually like the title: it is a show revolving around a man named Truman. This movie is full of comedy, drama and romance. Only one problem – Truman doesn’t know! He isn’t aware that the world revolving around him is a utopia created by a fake “God” and he people are all just actors.
I really enjoyed this one. Trust is, I wasn’t particularly fond of the movie at the beginning and simply because I had never heard of it, but the story and concept overwhelmed me with amazement and delight, despite the story of Truman being quite sad – and so, I secretly rooted for him.
I suppose my favourite part would be the quote, “we accept the reality of the world with which we are presented”. It really spoke to me and gave me a lot to think about. Despite Truman having the perfect life, the perfect wife and the perfect job he knew there
was more out there and he wanted to explore. When he finally decided to push his way to reach his goals, that’s when his world finally begins to unravel.
The ending was surprising – but perfect.
