An above-average film with a visual flair!

Directed by Baz Lurhmann, `The Great Gatsby' is about a hopeful Nick Carraway who befriends elusive millionaire Jay Gatsby in the 1920s.

It is an entertaining film with a great soundtrack, cinematography and direction by Baz Lurhmann but just fails to create enough emotional impact and does have a sometimes pretentious plot.

But don't let that shy you away from the film! It is perfectly fine with a great deal of skill put into it.
