The Best Edgar Wright Simon Pegg and Nick Frost Collaboration film

5 stars

27 Mar 2019

This is the type of film that I would give an 11/10 I think it's higher than most other films and yet I shouldn't make all the other 5's appear lower by changing it to a 4. This is the best out of the cornet trilogy and despite Shaun being more re-watchable that hasn't stopped me from watching it around 60+ times. This has a such a rich, tightly written story that can be seen in 2 ways and have equally 2 different points of view if read between the lines. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost have such good chemistry together along with a suburb cast and a Shakespearian-esque villain (Timothy Dalton) and so Manny running jokes and quotable lines. It is the perfect combination of a comedy, action, buddy-cop movie and filled to the brim with references. 11/10
