The movie starts in Russia in 1885 with a family of five mice. They want to move to America for a better life, but when they get off the boat the mouse cant find his family. While all hope looks lost he goes on an amazing journey across America with friends.

The family of five mice are made up of a mother , a father , a sister and two brothers , one americanmice called Tony and a cat called tiger.

An American tail was mot my type of movie. Although I did not like the movie, the music was good and the actors played the characters very well.

I would recommend this movie to 3-7 year olds. Overall the film was average.
