Isle of dogs is a beautifully executed film about a boy who travels to trash island otherwise known as the Isle of dogs to find his own pet dog, spots. There he meets the dog chief and his gang, who struggle to cope with the life on trash island. We see an amazing to watch character arch as chief goes from a socially awkward, stubborn and a hard to like character, as he doesn't know the love of some like Atari, throughout the course of the movie we see him learn the love humans can give. The movie also has a great musical score and amazing puppet work, especially the famous "sushi scene". I saw this movie in a library sitting on a comfy bean bag and to be honest, location doesn't matter for this movie, a cinema, a home living room, even an Island filled with trash would be a great location to watch this film
One major tip is to not be scared of the snippets of Japanese dialogue in the film, the ones that aren't translated are nice little touches, but aren't important to the plot.
Overall this movie is great, I love it to bits, I would even go to the extent of saying it's the best movie I ever saw, and I would recommend it to all but especially Wes Anderson fans.
