Shutter island is a classic masterpiece featuring phenomenal acting, plot and a great atmosphere that compliments the genre of the film. Leonardo DiCaprio's stunning performance in this movie is bolstered by a soundtrack that adds to the thriller part of the film.

The film has viewers second guessing themselves from the beginning, with memories and flashbacks that are not only relevant but well timed as the plot progresses. Ultimately, everything is unravelled and the ending will have any conventional viewer stunned and lost for words.
