A bit scarier than Jurassic Park

5 stars

08 May 2020

I never thought I’d feel sorry for a Tyrannosaurus Rex but half way through this film I was clutching my heart strings because of what people were doing to a baby T Rex.

Mathematician, Dr Ian Malcolm has to go to another island full of dinosaurs to rescue his girlfriend. But does this palaeontologist want to be rescued? It gets chaotic and people start to get eaten when some unexpected guests arrive.

My favourite character was the teenager, Kelly because she’s curious like me.

If you saw Jurassic Park you will like this but it’s a bit scarier, there’s more blood and there’s a lot of tension including when a piece of glass is slowly breaking.

Now I’ve watched a few Steven Spielberg films I think he is a mastermind in creating tension - one jump made me drop my snack with shock. John Williams’ music once again helped to make my heart race with tension.

I was surprised it was a PG because of a bloody scene with lots of baby raptors, I think it should have been a 12 but if you’re a fan of Steven Spielberg you will like this film.
