Where do I start with this brilliant film??? I should probably start with the plot. After the events of Batman Begins Batman/Bruce Wayne is accepted by the public as a hero, however the police are still less than happy with them. But a new threat emerges called The Joker who's attacks start from a $68 million bank robbery to full on killings. However newly elected DA (District Attorney) Harvey Dent and Lt. Jim Gordon team up with Batman secretly to fight him. However there are still bits and pieces of the Maroni crime family lingering around Gotham which presents a fantastic subplot. There is still Wayne Enterprises to think about and sometimes I feel Bruce gets caught up between Batman and running one one of the biggest corporations in the world. The score by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard is really really good and I think it really suits the tone of the movie. The acting is obviously really good with Heath Ledger in his Oscar-winning role(R.I.P) but there are also other stellar performances Christian Bale (Batman) Gary Oldman (Jim Gordon) Micheal Caine (Alfred Pennyworth) Maggie Gyllenhall (Rachel Dawes) Aaron Eckhart (Harvey Dent) and Morgan Freeman (Lucius Fox). All in all you NEED to watch this movie.
