This movie is about a young family who move into a new home in California, when a series of unnatural happenings begin, at first the ghosts seeming friendly until the situation turns serious when their daughter mysteriously vanishes.
The movie is okay, some parts were iffy and others just completely confusing. I liked how the movie was more suspenseful than scary, and how the lighting and certain camera movements and shots added a creepy element and helped to build the tension. However, the plot didn’t seem to be going in a set direction and some parts in the movie were over-exaggerated.
The most memorable thing about the movie for me was Zelda Rubinstein’s portrayal of Tangina and the performance of the two children, their acting just seemed the most realistic.
In general the movie just wasn’t for my taste. Would recommend for anyone who likes slow paced suspenseful movies, or an older audience.
