Cool Runnings

Based on the true story of four Jamaican sprinters, Cool Runnings is a comedy/drama that will please the whole family! The dream of an athlete, Derice, shatters when he trips during a race. So he turns to a disgraced coach to try and turn four Jamaicans who have never seen snow into bobsledders! Can they fight against all the odds and prejudice to qualify for the winter Olympics?

I love this film because it shows that athletes can come out of nowhere and that nationality should have no say in the decisions that we make. It has a touch of audacious comedy that was a nice surprise and made the film more enjoyable. The humorous dialogue that passed between characters lightened the mood of the film.

Overall a crowd pleaser that is suitable for all the family, I would rate Cool Runnings 4 stars out of five. The reason for this is that it includes some language that might not be suitable for the very youngest viewers, but was a brilliant film that I would defiantly recommend.
