The Secret of Kells is one of the movies that is really well animated and you don't see very often and is good to treat yourself with a greatly animated film! It is really well created and has a nice theme. The backround annimation is very nice and realistic.

It is all about a boy called Brendan living in a village. He is living his life in a enclosed wall for his and the villiagers safety. One day he has to go into the forest outside the village to get some sort of berry to make ink. But he runs into problems before he meets one person who helps and can control the forest. They then imbark on the adventure of a lifetime from the tops of trees and the bottom of the forest!

My favorite character was Brendan who is the main character in this film and he is very brave and has a lot of courage.

I liked the part in the forest when the adventure part of the story came in, it felt so thrilling! I didn't like the goose chase because it felt like it went on for ages!

I would recommend this film to anyone over the age of 7 because of some parts that are scary and some parts that are peaceful.
