When I came across Blade runner 2049 I was rather excited to watch it and get submersed into this world. The beginning intrigued me straight away however I very quickly lost interest as the story developed. Don't get me wrong it isn't a bad film and you can obviously tell a lot of though went into the plot line however I found myself half expecting a tumbleweed to come flying across the screen almost every thirty seconds throughout it. I found it hard to keep watching at multiple points and more often than not kept loosing interest if it wasn't for Roger Deakins absolutely beautiful cinematography I wouldn't have even bothered to finish it as without those sets of breathtaking scenes, striking lighting and bright colour it would have been even duller than it already was.
