Inception is about one man and his fellow accomplices who become forced into this world of deception as DiCaprio tries to find his way back to his family after being accused of murdering his wife. This film owes a lot to Christopher Nolan who spent 9-10 films both writing the script and directing, his directing is nothing less than incredible and more than matched by the script. It is clear to see that Nolan got his inspiration from the Matrix and is in my opinion just as good, if not better. Furthermore, there is also the sensational performances of key cast members: Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gorden-Levitt who play Arthur and Cobb. We also see the appearances of Irish actor Cillian Murphy, BAFTA winner Tom Hardy as Eames and Michael Caine who has won a BAFTA and two Golden Globes The music and cinematography are both worth a mention as they helped to increase tensions, leaving the viewer at the end of their seat and fully engaged. However, while the storyline is clever, it requires lots of attention because it is confusing as a result of the different realities. Therefore, I would highly recommend this film to a mature viewer aged 15 onwards who enjoy a clever psychological thriller that feeds the brain with action.
