George and the Jungle (Disney1997)
George of the jungle is a funny, silly, comedy...Wow, there are so many words, I'm not sure I can fit it all on this review. All you really need to know, is that it's funny. I would recommend it to anyone over 7.
This film is a fun family movie. Nothing serious but there is some romance and there are some inappropriate bits (you see his bottom in one scene), which is why I say over 7 years old.
If you like goofy films, this is the one for you. The main character George survived a plane crash
when he was a baby and he has been stuck in a jungle AND raised by gorillas ever since. George is idiotic, goofy and very accident prone. He keeps swinging into trees because he has terrible aim when on the vines. One day he rescues a woman from a lion which is special because he has never met another human before. The woman (Ursula) left her fiancé (Lyle) behind and liked George instead. How will he cope in the city? Watch to find out! The part I liked which I think most people did as well is when Lyle fell off the bridge into rough waters. Then the narrator said " Don’t worry. Nobody dies in this film, they just get serious boo-boos."
This film was hilarious in it's own way and very good to watch as a family. This Disney film is fun and silly and a very slapstick comedy, and just makes fan of it's own characters. George kept reminding me of Tarzan but he's so thick it makes him look embarrassing.
I would give this film 4 AND A HALF (when you see 4 stars on this review, I mean 4 AND A HALF stars because Into Film wont let me do that) stars because it might not be right up your street but it is a film you should watch.
