My review is on Pocahontas the Indian tribe princess. At the start of the movie, Captain John Smith and his crew were loading the ship with their cargo to go and mine some gold for Governor Ratcliffe. The excitment and uncertainty of the journey is felt after they loaded the cargo on the ship and Thomas was indecisive on whether to go on the ship because he thought he might not make it but Captain John said "it'll be all right Thomas". When the ship left the port all the family's were waving good bye. A perilous situation occurs when it turns pitch black and the ship encounters an enormously massive storm throwing the ship left and right and all of the crew in panic were tightening all the sails on the ship while trying to stay alive. After surviving the storm and reaching their destination, the morning begins positive with John and the crew starting to digging for gold on the land were Pocahontas lives. Captain John set out to explore the land and that is when he encountered Meeko and Flit, Pocahontas' lovable companion's who added a really funny element to the story. The news of the strangers got to the king of the land so he went to see what it was about with some of his men but this back fired, intrigue turned into mistrust then fear as preparation for battle began, between the natives and the foreigners. While the tribe were preparing on the warpath, Pocahontas went to Grandmother Willow and told her all about the events that were happening and then Grandmother Willow gave Pocahontas her mother's necklace and that's when Captain John steps in and sees Pocahontas and Grandmother Willow and then starts a friendship, with both initially speaking in different languages and finally when comfortable with and understood each other, they communicated in English. What I did not like about the movie was the feeling of racism in it, calling people black and white. This movie reminds me of Aladin because it it is a story about people from different societies, drama, action and romance. It teaches that people from different societies can come together and live peaceful.
