The main characters areStanley Yelnats IV (Caveman), Zero, Armpit, X-Ray, Armpit, Magnet, Squid, Zig-zag, Mr Sir, Mr Pendanski and the Warden. Satnley has bad luck because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-great grandfather. He goes to Camp Green Lake (a Juvinile Detention Centre) becaue he 'breaks the law'.
