A harrowing mournful account of one of the darkest events in human history.

This film is shocking and so are the events surrounding it. I think that my greatest compliment to this film is through the way Steven Spielberg portrays this horror. This film has an excellent portrayal of Oskar Schindler from Liam Neeson, who really brings the human aspects of Oskar Schindler across, a great example of this is the final scene where we see Schindler in which he breaks down in tears in a very compelling way highlighting the connection between Schindler and the Jews he was trying to stay. Moreover, Ralph Fiennes portrays Amon Goeth excellently illustrating the mind of a racist madman and he conveys to us a character which is in direct contrast to the calculating mind of Oskar Schindler. Furthermore, the music conveys the morouse and mournful tone of the film in an amazing way and really sets the mood of the film, little surprise it won the Academy Award for best original of a film.

To conclude this film is simply a masterpiece from the actors to the director. It is simply flawless and conveys the horror of the film in a respectful way which honours the legacy of the people who suffered in the holocaust and highlights the terror these people must have experienced and reminds us to never allow such event to ever occur again.
