Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore

4 stars

09 Apr 2022

Today is the 9th of April 2022 where I went to the cinema again but this time I went to go and see the third film in the franchise which was called Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore were the film is all about Professor Albus Dumbledore who knows the powerful, dark wizard called Gellert Grindelwald who is moving to seize control of the wizarding world. Unable to stop him alone, he entrusts magizoologist Newt Scamander to lead an intrepid team of wizards and witches and one brave Muggle baker on a dangerous mission, where they encounter old and new beasts and clash with Grindelwald's growing legion of followers. But with the stakes so high, how long can Dumbledore remain on the sidelines before the wizarding world and the muggle world get destroyed by his old friend. This film review has been given a four star rating which means I liked it because I found this one a lot darker than the other two films that I have seen and wrote reviews for but the special effects were made very good. There is one thing I did not like and that was who played the character called Gellert Grindelwald I thought that Johnny Depp who had played him in the first two films should of played him in this film to not this new actor whose name was Mads Mikkelsen who played the character instead he did not play him as good he was not dark enough but when Johnny Depp played him he made the character look more darker and much more eviler by acting more dramatically but that is my own opinion on the character. I feel that you should watch the first two films first because they all fit together with the Harry Potter films that were made first but then they decided to go back and make the Fantastic Beasts films where you learn about Dumbledore's past and secrets you also should try and read all of the books that J.K. Rowling wrote because they give much more information about the films. I have only read the Harry Potter books so I don't have a lot of information about the Fantastic Beast films that also have books to them but they were good to watch. I have now seen all three of the films and wrote reviews on them. So my next film will be The Lost City with Sandra Bullock and Daniel Radcliffe as the bad guy. I also think you should watch the first and second film first than watch this one that has just came out in cinemas. The first film is called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and the second film is called Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
