The Iron Giant (1999)

Setting:

This film is set in the U.S.A, during the Cold War. T

tis set in a small town, by the coast. When a fisherman is driving in a storm, a very 'odd' thing crash lands in the ocean.

Characters:

Hogarth, our main character, is a 12 year old boy, who lives with his Mum in a small cottage, in a farm. There is lots to say, but I won't spoil it. (hopefully you'll watch it!)

Colour:

Luckily, this isn't black and white, and it's stylised. (stylised art was popular during the 1950s, so they went with this, to fit the time period!)

I would say the storyline is very good, and it fits well with the name, and what it says the film is about. There's not much I want to say, otherwise, I'll ruin it, but it's great!

Sound:

As made in the 80s, the sound isn't bad, and the music really fits the mood. It really made me feel passionate about this, and for our character.

What I liked/like:

I really like this film, because it's interesting, and exciting. The storyline works, and I really think you should watch this. The story is creative, the setting is good, and it really creates a mood, and I think that it also teaches you about friendship.

Although most is good... there are things I don't like. What I don't like about the film, is that the enemy took things too far, and that power was used. (not a lot though, to spoil it.) Apart from this, I would say this is a must see film! Thanks for reading, and enjoy!
