My Neighbour Totoro

The film My Neighbour Totoro is about two young daughters who had just moved into their new house with their father while they wait for their mother to recover from her sickness in hospital. The daughters explore their new house while the father and other people help out with things in the house. After settling in their new home, the children soon discovered a big, fluffy creature who turned out to be a spirit, and they soon befriended the giant Totoro.

My favourite part in the movie is when Satsuki (The older sister) and Mei (The younger sister) were waiting by the bus stop in the rain for their fathers bus to eventually arrive. This was my favourite part because the scene was really cute and wholesome and it really showed how caring Satsuki was to her little sister.

I wouldn’t say I have a particular favourite character, or a least favourite character either because all the characters were very nice and I couldn’t choose a character I liked the most and a character that I disliked. But I really enjoyed Satsuki and Tankas friendship/screen time together, mostly because it was funny and cute in my opinion.

Before I watched the film, I was kinda expecting more from the film and it was not as I thought it would be. But overall the movie was really nice and enjoyable to watch! I would recommend this film for people who are 5+ and like to watch wholesome adventure fantasy movies.
