Great storyline

5 stars

When Mrs Dowson said we were going to watch Dora the Explorer, I was disappointed because that show is aimed at 3 to 5 year olds so I thought that it would be too young for me. However, this was not the right opinion, I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that the movie was actually aimed at 7 to 11 year olds.

The story was about a girl who lived in a luxurious jungle but got sent to a city, got captured, sent back to the jungle and found a lost city with a golden monkey statue and then went back to the city. (I know, that is a lot to take in). My favourite part and my favourite character are actually connected, my favourite character is a man who said he was a friend of the girl's parents but was actually a villain (his name was so long that I can't remember it, unfortunately, hmmmm.) My favourite part was when he fell into burning hot lava. (I know that sounds a little bit gruesome but he really deserved it)

I would recommend this to 7 to 11 year olds who love adventure.
