This is a powerful and moving short film about how a young girl is being told by society that she is not beautiful at she is coloured. ”I want the pretty barbie” she screams to her mum when she got gifted a black barbie for her birthday. When she went to school the teacher was talking about what “beauty” is. As the young girl got older she started to use bleaching products to make her skin look lighter. At the end of the movie she was saying about how she was annoyed that when she was younger she didn’t like the way she looked. I liked this short film as it is powerful as it says a lot about how society looks/views others and in this day of age it shows how people can appreciate themselves as who they are.
