I speak for the trees

The lorax it one of my favourite films EVER!!! It is an animated film about deforestation and pollution in the atmosphere and what will happen if we dont stop. Some of the main themes in this are…

Colour- the colours are mainly bright in yellow, orange and green tones. This represents the Onceler and the Lorax’s colour schemes. However, when the Onceler starts cutting down the trees, the colours go to mainly grey and dull tones. This represents the sadness of the moments.

Setting- the setting starts at Thneedville which is ‘plastic and fake but they liked it that way’. Then it goes to the broken world outside. In the story that the Onceler tells, it has a setting which is colouful and filled with lots of truffula trees.
