Hello welcome to a Disney classic which was made back in the year of 1989 and loosely based on the 1837 Danish fairy tale of the same name by Hans Christian Andersen. But now it has been remade as a live action with Halle Bailey playing the youngest and most beautiful mermaid whose name is Ariel, Jonah Hauer-King as the loving Prince whose name is Eric and finally the wicked evil Ursula who is played by Melissa McCarthy. So back on the 27th of May of this year which would of been a Saturday my family and I went to Aylesbury cinema to go and see a remake of The Little Mermaid which is all about the story of the youngest daughter of King Triton and her name is Ariel who is a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure. Longing to find out more about the world beyond the sea, Ariel visits the surface and falls for the dashing Prince Eric after when she rescues him from drowning. So in order to see him again she follows her heart by making a dangerous deal with the evil sea witch,Ursula, so that she can experience what life is like on land. This review has been given five stars which means I loved it because for a much loved Disney classic I felt that the director who was Rob Marshall made the remake very good and magical especially the under sea scenes where they are very colourful and make you feel like you are there in person. My favourite Disney film that has been made into a live action film so far would be Beauty And The Beast with Emma Watson who played Princess Belle and Dan Stevens who played the Beast/Prince Adam. What Disney film that has been made into a live action do you like please tell me in your reviews thanks. Thank you for reading my late review on The Little Mermaid.
