So BeetleJuice.
Its a Tim Burton movie that has the edgy style and its ashamed that Tim Burton fell off from cinema. Until I did saw the new BeetleJuice sequel that is upcoming. Tim Burton also got a mark on Hollywood so good for him.
I've never seen BeetleJuice -
Michael Keaton: Its show time!
No! But get to you.
I've never seen BeetleJuice until now and by the way before we go any further, it contains Spoilers and blah, blah , blah , lets get into it:
Comedy : If I had to say one thing what is Tim Burton good at, its going to be comedy. He knows how to write mean spirited and both charismatic characters. It just go's so well. Yes we can finally talk about you, BeetleJuice!
I adore Michael Keaton performance, he plays as Batman but now the antagonist! In fact he steals the entire shows for me, he's the soul of this! Every thing he says is absolutely hilarious, I never saw a movie these movie (outside of Shrek 1 and 2 and others things) that make me laugh hard.
He's so over the top and quite edgy at points. Like he literally put he's hand on a lady's hip. Also says the F Bomb.
"Nice F****'in model!" I did not expect the adult jokes Tim Burton has make and its oozing with personality!
Stop motion animation and style: Now the Stop Motion don't look great but its suppose to look a bit cheesy and I think the cheesy fit really did make the comedic timing more funnier. Like the two married couple stretch into a horrific faces and it works so well because how Burton executed it and doesn't feel random or in face (pun intend).
I do notice that the movie has a lot of lightening like the underground world is full of green and it gives this Halloween vibe to it! I actually like weird stuff like Backrooms and very atmospheric , unnerving world. The movie used this advantage and the camera shots of very atmospheric giving an unnatural feel. I love the weird place where the sand worm lives and sometimes Tim Burton just only shot the background without characters in there.
You pause scenes and feel emerge to it. Its icing on the cake!
So plot: Honestly the whole married couple how is none other then Alec Baldwin! Like he is so young then I remember and when first watch I didn't even recognised him because I mostly associate to Thomas And The Magic Railroad film with him but I digress.
Also Catherine O'Hare the mom of Home Alone is in this movie. So Adam and Delia are this two married couple how I get died in a car crash and another couple is taking over their house but their "daughter" Lydia can see them and they are now ghosts. So they meet up BeetleJuice and explore the world with wacky hell world (not the actual name). So they eventually get their soul back and BeetleJuice send to "welcome to the underground" world.
"How was the fall-"
The plot is okay I guess, its pretty serviceable. The conflict of the story is fine and the scene where Delia rides on a sand worm with no character arc but the movie doesn't take itself too seriously I guess.
Final Thoughts: So overall, is it A Good or Nope? Its not the most deeply written Tim Burton movie out there but it does makes it up of its top wacky comedy and great energy , or should I say the "Burton Style ". So yeah its good and for any horror and both comedy fans combine together I defiantly recommend it!
Also what happens if I saw BeetleJuice-
Michael Keaton: Oh Yeah! I feel great!
Oh god, pls help-
(beep, we will be back)
...
So that's everything I got to say!
