character development and abilities

I really liked the movie and that the characters abilities and some of songs centered with their attempt to help the family.

Like with Abuela's children such as Julieta with her ability to heal the wounds of the present. And Pepa with her ability to bring sunny days. And Bruno with his ability to see future dangers.

Also note that Abuela's children can be seen as metaphors.

A sorrowful past (Pepa) a healing present (Julieta) and a uncertain future (Bruno)

Next is Julieta's children

Isabela with the gift of flowers, I rather find her pitiful with her attempts to be the perfect child and Luisa with her gift of strength, I rather like her as even when she lost her gift she still tried to be there for the family. And finally Mirabel the black sheep of the family who never got a gift, I also rather like her, as she never had anything special but tried to help the family.

I will have to cut this short as I am running out of time to write.

I would recommend this for families and people that enjoys family centered movies.
