This film follows Dorothy and her dog toto as she tries to go back to her farm in Kansas but is currently stuck in the magical land of OZ. The characters of this film are really well thought out because each character who goes with Dorothy to see a wizard has their own reason for seeing him. The colours of this film is brilliant because in Kansas in the beginning it’s in monochrome showing that Dorothy’s boredom there but when she first enters OZ the house is in monochrome but you can see colour infront of her showing the wonder and magic of OZ. The songs of this film are really good because the characters of scarecrow, tin man, and lion all sing about why they want to see the wizard but it’s the same melody and rhythm but all that’s changed is the lyrics which is really clever. The camera work is immaculate because there this shot of the wicked witch of the west sending her flying monkeys out and the shot is so iconic it has been used is other films. Overall this film is amazing and would highly recommend it to people who like fantasy and adventure.
