Chicken Run (2000)

Chicken Run is an amusing, thought-provoking film with a well-written (if a little unoriginal) group of characters. The focus on a very inhumane and very real subject adds a layer of depth to what would otherwise be a very basic film, and overall the film makes sense-a fairly impressive achievement when dealing with a flock of sapient chickens trying to defy evolution and fly. This last point is in no way a special achievement of this film, but making a movie by taking 120,000 (yes, I Googled this figure) pictures of handcrafted clay models will never not be impressive.
