An Amazing Twist on Mobster Movie's

4 stars

22 May 2025

Most Mobster Movie's are for adults and are full of average Mobster activities, but the fact that Bugsy Malone was for children intrigued me. I absolutely love the adaption of classic Mobster tropes into a way consumable and appropriate way for children which doesn't make it cringy or underwhelming like most adult tropes turned child friendly. I love the romance between Bugsy and Blousey as well. But, one criticism is the fact of the music. There are many times where the actors go to sing, but due to the technology for the time and their skills, it is quite obvious they are lip-syncing and it throws me off a bit. Overall, this film is continued to be loved by all generations.
