Enjoyable depiction of teenage dilemmas inspired by the hugely popular books by author Louise Rennison.

I have seen this film so many times because of it being voted to be watched in relaxed end of term school lessons. It has become so annoying after seeing it for the 100th time that i wanted to wrip out my hair and tell people to get a life. This film was about a pathetic girl who talks to herself and stalks a boy, seeking his attention. in the fairytale ending she gets the boy she wants (which is hardly what would happen in real life) and everything is perfect. Her stereotypical english voice and personality has been shipped around the world along with this film, and a day doesn't go by without a foreign person asking me whether i've seen the film and whether real life is like this in England! It is for this reason that i think the film appeals to many audiences, however, I am one of the fortunate few that will not swallow such dribble! It's disgusting! The British film industry needs to come up with more exciting, relevant and believable storylines which have the possibility of competing with hollywood! This film has succeeded in making the British look like a load of sappy unfunny posh freaks! A stereotype that will not be lost for years to come thanks to this mess of a film! support your country; Don't watch this film!
