Into Archive Film

This training session introduces participants to activities that will help integrate archive film across the curriculum.

In this session participants will be introduced to a range of approaches to integrate active film watching and filmmaking in response to archive film into their class or club activity.

The session will include a wide variety of examples of archive film, demonstrating how to work with it as a stimulus and focus far beyond the history classroom.

Activities will include writing pieces of non-fiction and creative writing from archive film, effective and creative questioning and investigation techniques for learners and ways to support simple filmmaking for children and young people to create their own archive film.
