Guardian Teacher Network to sponsor Teacher of the Year Award

For the second year in a row we're delighted to announce that the Guardian Teacher Network will be sponsoring our Teacher of the Year Award, at this year's Into Film Awards.

Through our network of film clubs, our annual Into Film Festival, and the interaction on our ongoing free online course - Teaching Literacy Through Film - we are seeing more and more educators using film in their teaching.

Nominations may be made by teachers themselves or by a colleague, parent, or student, and must include an example of work to demonstrate the inspirational use of film in the classroom be that screenings of interesting films, filmmaking, review writing or other film-related activities that have had a positive impact on young people's academic or social development.

Nominations are now closed, and winners will be announced on Tuesday 15 March.
