Restrepo Interview with director Tim Hethrington

Late director Tim Hetherington spoke to us in 2010 about his Oscar-nominated documentary Restrepo. Tim spent several months embedded with US marines in the Korangal valley, Afghanistan, sometimes described as "the deadliest place on earth". He ate with the troops, slept in the same quarters and shared their frustrations and elations. The resulting film is not only an exceptional documentary, but among the most truthful and moving accounts of war ever seen on screen.
