Suitable for use by either primary or secondary teachers, the assembly makes use of a range of film titles - all available to order by setting up an Into Film Club - that look at first days at school, potential problems students may come across and how to tackle them to ensure a smooth transition from primary to secondary education. Topics included in the assembly are:-negotiating the first days-making new friends-believing in yourself-working together. The PowerPoint presentation assembly, accompanied by the teachers' notes PDF, also contains clips from the films in question as a stimulus for group discussion.
