Into Film's Screen Careers Offer

Did you know that TV and Film were the most popular industries on the ERIC creative careers app in 2023, and yet only 6% of young people feel a career in these industries is accessible to them?

The good news is that Into Film bridges this gap by supporting careers professionals to develop their knowledge to ensure they can talk confidently to young people about screen industry careers, pathways, and opportunities, making them available for all.

A recent report from the BFI and ERIC creative careers app confirmed that young people and careers professionals want to know more about careers in the screen industries. Into Film is ideally placed to enable this, can improve the knowledge gap in 11-18 year olds and provide careers professionals with the guidance they need to ensure a much wider pool of young people can consider a career in the screen industries.

We seek to demystify careers in the creative sector and highlight the value of transferable skills acquired through jobs in the industry. How? Our dedicated Screen Industry Careers page aims to keep careers professionals and educators up-to-date with the essential information and resources needed to advise on opportunities across the screen industries.

You will also take advantage of our Media Careers Podcast, which is aimed at young people interested in the screen industries and was created in response to the ever-growing skills shortages in many areas of the screen sector.

If you're working with young people aged 11-18, Into Film is the place to develop your own knowledge of the sector. And with an increasing number of opportunities across the UK, and roles that span the full school curriculum, there is so much to discover.

Cerys Evans, Careers Lead at Into Film says: "One of the things that is most exciting about careers in the screen industries is the range of opportunities. Whatever a young person's skillset, passion or area of interest, there will be a role to explore. As the screen industries grow across the UK, this means more of these exciting opportunities closer to home too. Young people want to know more, careers professionals want to know more, and Into Film is here to help."
