Children and young people who live in rural areas, or who rarely have the opportunity to travel outside of their community, can be left feeling isolated. On the other hand, those who reside in urban areas can often struggle to understand the rural environments that other young people call home.
Film can be a tremendous way to help young people to reflect on their own environment - be it rural, urban or somewhere in between - and to help develop an understanding both of the world around them and the way a person's environment can impact on the lives of individuals.
The films included in the Your Film Club, Your Way: Rural Isolation resource are from around the world and the activities within the resource help young people to understand the global nature of these concerns.
