Eye in the Sky

Synopsis

A mission to capture suspected terrorists has located their targets with their ‘eye in the sky’, a drone pilot based in Las Vegas. A radicalised UK citizen and her US counterparts are tracked to a meeting in a Kenyan village occupied by Al-Shabbab insurgents. Years of preparation seem to be coming to a head when the opportunity to neutralise a prominent threat presents itself. However, ordinary life is simultaneously going on for the village’s inhabitants, including a young girl selling bread in the street. When she enters the potential blast zone, military tacticians and politicians across the globe are thrown into ethical turmoil. A tense and multifaceted exploration of the decision-making process in drone warfare.

Infrequent bloody moments, infrequent strong language.
