This moving Indian drama is the story of a selfless woman, Janki (Aishwarya Narka), who despite being young and attractive has turned down marriage in order to keep her family together under dire circumstances - her father is fighting for compensation after losing an arm in an industrial accident and one of her brothers, Banthu, is disabled. After her feckless other brother, Mangesh, takes the cash her father eventually receives for his injury in order to bribe his way into a job, her mother is diagnosed with a serious kidney problem and it is left to Janki to raise the money to save her.
Moving true story of writer Dominique Bauby's stroke, which left him paralysed except for his left eye, with which he was able to dictate his memoir.
