Synopsis

Based on a bestselling novel by noted astronomer Carl Sagan, Contact is an engrossing tale of space travel, faith and personal discovery. Since childhood, Ellie Arroway has been searching out extraterrestrial messages. Disregarding the scorn of the scientific community, she maintains an unswerving conviction that there is something more to the universe. And when that something finally arrives to prove that she was right all along, the world unites in an effort to decode the transmission and unlock the secrets that it holds.

What our educators say

"Some of them saw a clip from Wakolda (The German Doctor) on TV recently and really wanted to watch it. So I thought I’d take a chance, not expecting them to watch the whole film but the majority were absolutely gripped. "
